Things We've Learned - Week 1
Some of the things we've learned about our baby girl this week:
1) She does not like to be plopped down on the cold leather sofa without a blanket under her.
2) She will already flip herself over onto her side during sleep if we don't use a sleep positioner - even when swaddled. She also "inch-worms" her way to the other side of her bed while swaddled. She's definitely a strong girl!
3) She has fairly good and accurate control of her arms; she will remove her binky at will with hands and tries to "help us" feed her by either holding her bottle or mommy's, ahem, feeding equipment. No amount of wrapping can keep those arms in for long!
4) She does not like to lay on her left side to nurse and will buck, kick and shove herself away from Mom. She gets her hands and feet in between and pushes off with all her might. As such, the nursing thing isn't going as well as it could...
5) She has great neck control already and does not like it to be "handled" while burping or feeding. She frequently whips her head from side to side to see what is going on over your shoulder while burping and may launch herself out of your hands while up on your shoulders at any given moment!
