Lydia Smiles!
Our baby girl has been gurgling, cooing and smiling somewhat indiscriminately for a couple of weeks now. Today, however, she responded by smiling back at us (each) for about ten minutes this morning - both when Mommy talked to her after she had her first bottle (she's a total grump until she gets that first bottle...much like her father and his first cup of coffee) and also when Daddy woke up a few hours later. We've been telling ourselves it's a coincidence until this point, but there was no mistaking it this morning...she responding to us!
